So, like everyone else, I’ve been spending an awful lot of time at home lately. In fact, I just moved to a new one. So that means I’ve been thinking endlessly about ways to spruce it up, redecorate, and generally find any excuse to browse Target’s home goods section.
So I thought I’d share some of my favorite recents finds today!
1. A DISCO BALL
Okay this one was the silliest random early-quarantine purchase, and I thought nothing of it, but when I got it I was blown away by how happy it made me? I don’t know guys, it’s the simple things I guess. I put it in the window in our living room so every morning when the sun rises it turns the house into a mini disco party. Talk about an instant mood booster, amirite?
2. THE IKEA SNIDAD BASKET
A) it’s just really fun to say and B) I was also blown away by how much I LOVE this bamboo basket. It’s really big and spacious, perfect for storing all my extra blankets and pillows, and it adds such a fun boho flair (which you know I’m all about).
Heads up though, Ikea’s shipping is taking FOREVERRRR during the pandemic. I don’t blame them one bit, but you’ll need to plan ahead if for some reason you have a deadline you need your Snidad by.

3. THAT PEACH PRINTED SHOWER CURTAIN FROM URBAN OUTFITTERS THAT EVERYONE HAS
Yeah look I know I’m not exactly groundbreaking with this purchase, but I’ve been lowkey obsessed with it since it came out. And our new apartment has two bathrooms so I finally had the chance to get a new shower curtain and… you know the rest. It’s just FUN. I don’t know.
4. HAUSWITCH ‘THE WITCHES’ CANDLE
This was a re-purchase of an absolute necessity. I got the Witches candle when I visited Salem, MA the first time back in 2017 at Hauswitch, one of my all time favorite stores, and it was SO GOOD. First of all the illustration ticks a lot of boxes for me, and the scent is so earthy and witchy and autumnal, I just love it. I burnt it until I couldn’t possibly pretend it was still even a candle, then finally ordered a new one when we moved.
5. CACTUS SCRATCHING POST
This is yet another kind of silly one, but I’ve been looking high and low for a scratching post for my cat that isn’t absolutely hideous. And I FINALLY found one the other day on Amazon – it looks like an adorable little cactus and I love it! Now if only Scully would actually use it…
